Smart lock & keypad installation
Keypads and smart locks put in, set up and working with your phone, plus help when one stops cooperating. Call (386) 853-3587.
Why people switch to a keypad
No more hiding a key under the mat. Kids get in after school with a code, the dog walker gets their own code and you change it whenever you want.
For vacation rentals in Flagler Beach or Ponce Inlet it’s even simpler. A new code for each guest and no keys to mail or lose.
What we install
Keypad deadbolts
Schlage, Kwikset and others, with a key backup.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth locks
Set up with the app and your codes.
Keypad levers
For side doors, offices and rentals.
SmartKey reset
Kwikset cylinders reset to a new key.
Locked out of a smart lock
It happens. The batteries died and nobody noticed the low battery warning, or the code got changed and nobody wrote it down.
Most smart locks still have a key cylinder for exactly this and some have a spot on the bottom to jump a 9-volt battery. If the key’s lost too we pick the cylinder like any other lock. Once you’re in we’ll get the batteries and codes sorted.
Keypads we've installed
- Buying advice
Keypad, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?
Plain keypad
- No app needed
- Batteries last a long time
- Simple to use for everyone
App-connected lock
- Change codes from your phone
- See who came and went
- Needs Wi-Fi or a hub for remote control
Both kinds keep a key backup on most models. We’ll help you pick based on how you’ll use it.
Codes, users and batteries
Setting it up right
We set the master code, add a code for each person who needs one and show you how to delete a code later. Separate codes for the cleaner, the dog walker and the family mean you can turn one off without changing everyone’s.
Keeping it working
Use good alkaline batteries, not the cheap ones and change them when the lock warns you. Keep the backup key somewhere you can reach from outside the house, like a car or a neighbor. Most keypads also have a 9-volt jump point under the keypad for a dead battery.
- Common questions
Smart lock questions
Will a smart lock fit my door?
Most fit a standard deadbolt hole. We check the thickness and the backset before we install.
Can you set it up with my phone?
Yes. We’ll pair it, set the codes and show you how to add or delete users.
What if the batteries die?
Most have a key override, and many let you jump them with a 9-volt from outside.
How long do smart lock batteries last?
Usually several months to a year, depending on how often the door’s used. Most locks warn you when they’re low.
